Thank you for buying tickets to the PTO Elementary Glow Dance! We are so excited!!!
Here are some Key details:
-
When and Where: 6-8 pm in the gym. Please enter through the middle school connector.
-
Tickets: Each student will receive a wristband - please wear it as that is your ticket. It is in the glow party pack if you purchased one or you can pick it up at the event. Adults do not need wristbands. If you can no longer attend the event, please let us know prior to 3 pm Friday (pto@griffinschool.us)! We have a number of people still wanting tickets and we can try to connect you.
-
Glow Party Pack Pick-Up: If you purchased a glow party pack, you can pick it up at 3:15 pm at the school on Friday (highly encouraged!) or at the event.
-
Food and Drink: Pizza, chips, drinks, and candy will be available for purchase. $5 gets you a slice of pizza, bag of chips, and a bottle of water. Soda and bubbly water available for $2. We plan to have card readers, but we highly recommend that you bring cash in case WiFi access is down.
-
Chaperones: Chaperones are required to be present at the event at all times. We strongly encourage chaperones to dance! Let’s make some core memories!
-
Expected Behavior: Please tell your student(s) that fighting with glow party items or tearing down decorations is not permitted. Students must stay inside and are NOT permitted on the playground. No food or drink is permitted in the gym.
-
Accessible Spaces: The dance will be taking place in the gym with concessions and eating space available in the connector. The classroom across the hall from the gym (Ms. Stottlemyre’s) will be open as a sensory room for students who need a break from the noise and lights. Students should not be in other parts of the school or on the playground.
-
Attire: The gym will be crowded and HOT! There will be nowhere to hang or place coats. We recommend T-shirts and a layer that kids can tie around their waist. We highly encourage kids to wear white or neon. Outside glow items are permitted!
-
Clean Up: We would LOVE your help when the dance is done to help take down the decorations and lights. Many hands make light work!
-
Safety: We are obligated per our agreement with the school to notify you of the dangers of crossing Old Steamboat Island Road. Please use caution at night.
See you Friday night!!!
