What is it?

The Griffin PTO is selling school supply packs for next year! We’ve worked with Griffin teachers and administration to take the school supply lists for next year and create school supply packs available for sale through a third party vendor.

Why are you doing it?

We listened to parents like you! Each year we hear someone ask whether we can buy supplies in bulk to create cost savings for everyone and limit the need to buy supplies in packs when only one or two are needed. Now we can - through a third party vendor!

What is the benefit?

Soooooo many! We have done a price comparison and the cost to parents is significantly lower than buying the supplies through Amazon. Plus, each pack’s cost includes a donation to PTO - raising more money for the teachers, classes, and educational enrichment programs you love! And best of all, it’s a simple option for busy parents who want to click one button to purchase all the supplies rather than having to shop for individual items each year!

How do I know it’s a cost savings for me?

Where do we pick up our pack?

If you purchase before July 20, the packs will be sent to the school and available for pick-up in your student’s classroom during your teacher meet-and-greet before the start of the school year. If you purchase after July 20, you will need to pay an additional shipping charge and the pack will be sent to your home.

Does the pack include everything on the grade level supply list?

Not always, because some of the supply lists (particularly for the younger grades) include items like water bottles, backpacks, and snack items. These are better purchased by the individual families. Please check your grade level supply list for more information.

What if I want to customize my pack (e.g., my daughter only likes the color green or I already have some of the items and don’t want to pay for a full pack)?

Unfortunately, customization is not an option. Regarding the items in the pack, we will be evaluating the customer experience after this first round and if there are certain items that should be removed because parents are more likely to already own those items, we are open to that feedback!

Why only elementary grades?

This is our pilot year. If all goes well, we will make this available to every grade level next year.

What if items arrive broken?

The vendor, EPI, provides customer service line and will replace any items that arrive broken or unusable. Contact Us - EPI - Educational Products Inc. 

Can I order a pack for a student in need?

Yes! You can purchase an extra pack. Write “donation” in for the student’s name at the time of purchase. The packs will be distributed by Griffin staff and any extras will be donated to the teachers for their use.
